Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data this site collects, why, and how they are used and protected, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The data controller is Charles LINDECKER, reachable at charles.lindecker@outlook.fr.

The following data are collected when you use the site:

  • account data: email address, username, password (stored hashed) and public profile slug;
  • optional profile data: avatar, profile visibility and language preference;
  • content you publish: forum topics and replies, tutorials, private messages and uploaded images;
  • technical data: IP address and browser identifier (user agent), recorded in security and audit logs;
  • donation data: donation history (amount, date, status); banking details are processed exclusively by our payment provider Stripe and never reach our servers;
  • local preferences (theme, language, list filters), stored only in your browser's local storage.

These data are processed in order to:

  • provide the service: account management, content publishing, private messaging and notifications;
  • ensure platform security: authentication, rate limiting, abuse and fraud prevention;
  • moderate published content and enforce the terms of use;
  • send transactional emails (account verification, password reset);
  • comply with legal obligations.

Processing relies on the following legal bases:

  • performance of the contract (terms of use) for account, content and messaging management;
  • legitimate interest for security, audit logs and moderation;
  • consent for optional profile data (avatar, public visibility);
  • legal obligation for records related to donations.

Data are kept for the following periods:

  • account data: for the lifetime of the account, then removed when the account is deleted;
  • published content: as long as it remains online or until it is removed;
  • security and audit logs (IP address, user agent): 12 months;
  • donation records: for the legal retention period applicable to accounting documents.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.

To exercise these rights, contact charles.lindecker@outlook.fr (data protection contact: charles.lindecker@outlook.fr). You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Personal data are accessible only to the site's administrators and moderators, strictly to the extent required by their role. They are never sold or shared for advertising purposes.

Processors: Hostinger International Ltd (hosting) and Stripe (payment processing for donations). These providers process data solely on our instructions.

The site only uses cookies and local storage strictly necessary for its operation: an HTTP-only authentication cookie (session) and local preferences (theme, language, list filters) stored in your browser.

No advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookie is used. For this reason, no cookie consent banner is displayed.

If non-essential trackers were ever introduced, your prior consent would be requested in accordance with the applicable rules.
